Don McCoy was born at an early age in Chapel Hill, NC. Upon closer inspection of his light blue surroundings, he
immediately asked directions to Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham. Go Duke!
Don grew up driving red tractors on the family farm in Chatham County, NC. Later, Don trained as a professional actor at Flat Rock Playhouse and spent five years there on the stage and summer staff. During this time he also attended Sandhills Community College and UNC-G where he won the Raymond Taylor Award, and was named the Best Actor by the South East Theater Conference in 1978.

Don spent 18 years on the staff of the President of the North Carolina Farm Bureau. Now a Mountain Man living happily in the Blue Ridge, Don owns an Antiques business with his beautiful fiance´, is working towards his Auctioneer’s license and is pleased as punch to be a professional driver with Tipsy Taxi and Boomerang Transport.
Don’s greatest accomplishment in life is being the father of his two wonderful children, Molly and Ruffin
